Dr. Amy Whittington

Dr. Whittington currently has practices at three locations in Arizona: The Alvea Spa at Trilogy in Peoria, the Alvea Spa at Encanterra in San Tan Valley,  and Iron Oaks in Sun Lakes.  The facilities are open to the public.  Dr. Whittington focuses on the use of nutrition, nutrients, herbs, bio-identical hormones, homeopathy, nutritional injectables, and acupuncture in her optimal wellness practices.

Amy Whittington, NMD graduated with honors from the University of Kansas in 1998.  In 2003, she received her doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine after graduating first in her class from the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine.  As part of her training, she received extensive education in the basic sciences, pathology and diagnosis, and treatment modalities including pharmaceuticals, botanical medicines, nutrition, homeopathy, and acupuncture.

After completing more than 1200 clinical hours and sitting for national boards, Dr. Whittington was licensed in Arizona to diagnose and treat illness as a general practitioner.  She completed a one-year residency in general practice and has been in private practice since then.  She has served as adjunct professor at Southwest College in Tempe, Arizona teaching such classes as physical diagnosis, nutrition, and minor surgery.  She has coordinated naturopathic services nationally and is published monthly for Trilogy by Shea Homes.  Dr. Whittington speaks both nationally and locally at several venues throughout the year. Memberships and affiliations include the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians and Arizona Naturopathic Medical Association.  She is also is the proud mother of two boys:  Fletcher and Oliver


Dr. Laura Kwiatkowski

Dr. Laura Kwiatkowski is a licensed naturopathic doctor in the state of Arizona. Dr. Laura graduated with highest honors in 2014, from the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (SCNM) in Tempe, AZ. After graduation, she was awarded a residency position at SCNM, and completed 2-years of residency in general family practice. In addition to maintaining a private practice, Dr. Laura continues teaching at SCNM as adjunct faculty.

Dr. Laura is dedicated to discovering the causes and finding solutions for her patient’s health concerns. Some of her interests include:

  • Digestive issues
  • Pre-diabetes, type 2 diabetes, and metabolic issues that impair weight loss
  • Women’s health issues
  • Hormone imbalances
  • Fatigue
  • Cleanses for detoxification and weight loss
  • Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine for a variety of conditions, especially pain
  • Specialized nutritional guidance
  • Botanical medicine
  • Homeopathic medicine

Dr. Laura grew up in Michigan where she attended Oakland University and graduated summa cum laude with her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. She also played NCAA Division 1 women’s golf for Oakland University.

Dr. Laura has settled into a life in Arizona and resides in Gilbert. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, which often involves food, so luckily she loves to cook. She likes to stay active and exercise including hiking, rollerblading, and playing golf and tennis.
